It is with great sadness that I have to say...
Like many of you, I was under the misinformed impression that the National Theatre Iganmu, was modelled in form after the cap of a military officer; as in, that was the governing power in control at the time of its construction...
This is what you get when you by pass your own people in favour of foreign "expertise"...almost all of our( Nigerian) iconic buildings are done by foreigners...WTH?!!!!!!!
yeah look at it...
only to find out that the architects who were Bulgarian by the way simply replicated the design for a preexisting building in their country when the contract was given to them...

At last
picture from
It was with great relief and very little surprise that i came to the conclusion that a practising architect, I will not make nor desire to be. Yes, I have put myself through five years of gruelling work, head ache, heart ache and every other ache you can possible fathom. I have also gained priceless knowledge on the built environment and the effects of design on individuals, communities, psychologies, economies and policy. I am also committed towards sustainability because it is the only way to go...
Thus, I have begun the race towards my goal: securing myself an entry (but comfortable)position with a property development/investment company upon graduation.
Any suggestions? Connections?
